Launched in 1999 "Takatu" is a testament to the past and present owners. She has been maintained to a high standard and boasts many upgrades, making it possible to live aboard for extended periods being fully self-contained.
Entry aboard is via the duck-board accessible from both sides, you pass the bait station/BBQ table, a tender is able to be stored here or on the saloon roof for extended voyages. The cockpit is spacious with plenty of storage and it is possible to walk around the whole vessel from the cockpit, there is additional access via the helm side door.
Stepping inside the main saloon you are greeted by the galley running the full length of the saloon, with the main setteeĀ opposite which folds down to provide additional berths. The head is forward on starboard and behind the helm, which is well laid out with a full suite of electronics and controls. Entry to the engine room is through a floor hatch next to the helm.
"Takatu" is powered by a Cummins B6 NA 115hp engine. It is obvious the engineering has been well maintained as has the rest of the vessel. There is a near new mainsail to provide steadying and assist with travel.
Accommodation is provided by the main double berth down stairs below the saloon and a double in the forward cabin there is a possible double created by folding down the saloon table.
This vessel has been set up to be able to live "off grid" with a large solar array coupled with battery capacity and inverter. She is perfect for those who want to live aboard for extended periods or just cruise the coast.
Priced to sell, she will not last long on the market.
