Peter Ibold Endurance 44

SOUTHERN ADVENTURER is an ENDURANCE 44 class designed by naval architect Peter Ibold.
She is a round bilge steel ketch built by Steel Waterline Ltd in Auckland and launched in 1995.

Length Hull: 13.5M/44ft

Engine:
Marine Isuzu 4-cylinder diesel rated at 70hp continuous (80hp intermittent) with a Twin Disc gearbox driving a 21inch x 16inch 3 bladed propeller (see oil sample report in pics)
Diesel:
500l in two wing tanks
Water:
800l in 4 integral tanks fwd of keel.

Electrical system:
Electrical system is 24 volts.
The system has 3 components - 24-volt primary, 12-volt secondary (stepped down) and a 230-volt AC shore power.
There is a Victron Multiplus 24v/ 3000va/70-16A Charger/Inverter.
Alternators are Bosch Ingram 24 volt, 60 amp.

Batteries:
House: 4 x Century AGM C31DCUS Deep Cycle 12v in series to produce 24v-260A/h.

Anchoring:
Windlass is a Nilsson (now Maxwell) HWC 3500, hydraulic.
The hydraulic pump for the anchor windlass is an engine driven Sperry-Vickers V10.
There is a chain wash hose run from the Johnson engine driven bilge.

Main anchor is a 35kg CQR with 100 metres 10mm chain.
Second anchor is a 25kg Delta
90 metres of spare chain stored in the forepeak

40 litres hot water cylinder (230-volt). Heat exchanger for the hot water cylinder is fitted to the engine.
