Designed by Marc Lombard and professionally built by the CNAC shipyard from Sealium-grade aluminum and launched in 2012, this lift-keel Alezan 495 is a true expedition-style yacht built and designed to sail fast, safely and in comfort to the farthest reaches and look good doing it. The T-bulb hydraulic lift keel (1.4m up - 3.0m down) opens up shoal cruising grounds while delivering race yacht performance on passage. Under original ownership, the design brief centered on the owners' requirement for a bulletproof yacht easily sailed and managed by a cruising couple. The interior fit out is largely built from lightweight composite materials and features a master island double forward with ensuite and two large double cabins with aft day head and shower. Cutter rigged with Doyle sails, the yacht has quality Harken deck hardware and a full suite of NKE marine electronics including hydraulic auto pilot.
