Dehler 47 Elegant - strong and proven world cruiser

Designed by Judel/Vrolijk and built by Dehler, the Dehler 47 met instant success winning Cruising World 2005 Yacht of the Year in the 45 foot plus performance cruiser category. And for good reason.
This is a quality yacht utilising monocoque construction (hull and deck laminated as a single structure). Bulkheads and the grid are further glassed to the shell.
Built by Dehler prior to the Hanse takeover, the 47 was positioned at the top-end and its makers spared no expense ensuring it was a genuine contender in that segment of the market.
Elegant, fast and with a hand-crafted cherry interior, this yacht will appeal to sailors who seek production-yacht comfort in a very capable build. It is, in essence, a yacht built with respect for the ocean in all its moods.
The boat has been well looked after and presents as such with beautiful Burmese teak decks in great cond and an interior that shows little wear. The cockpit lends itself to efficient sailing with the traveler forward of the wheel and accessible to the helm. Electric winches make for easy trimming. The yacht features a hydraulic boarding platform providing convenient walk-thru access.
Accom consists of a master cabin forward with ensuite and 2 dbl cabins aft with aft toilet and shower. The galley is designed to function at sea and is equipped with fridge, freezer, microwave, oven and stainless sinks.
The yacht is powered by a 75HP Yanmar on saildrive with 3 blade folding prop. Power management includes a Mastervolt 3.5KW generator, high output alt, solar, 230V charger and shore power. Other comforts include diesel heating and water maker.
While the rigging is due for replacement the headsail and main are brand new. Other sails include # 2, spare main and gennaker in sock. The yacht is fitted with a removable carbon prod and a carbon pole. Freshly groomed and serviced, the boat is ready to go. The vendor has purchased and the yacht must be sold.
