The Oceanis Clipper 473 has a functional and attractive deck layout that makes for easy sailing which is reflected in its performance.
The elegance and seaworthiness allow you to travel around the world while feeling at home. The Oceanis Clipper 473 will be a dream machine.
This 2006 Oceanis 473 is a great ocean cruiser. She has the extra bunk room up forward, which in this example has been turned into a lounger in the front cabin with the removal of the partition. This makes for a roomy front cabin with lots of extra space that can easily be used as accommodation for a young family.
She has been repowered with a new Yanmar 80-hp engine with just over 100 hours on the clock. She is a shaft drive boat with a bow thruster and is easily manoeuvred in tight spaces.
NZ registered, and all taxes paid she has been to the islands and has received cat 1 safety standard in 2018,2019,2022, and 2023
A classic charmer, her comfy interior will seduce you by her natural warmness. She has been lovingly restored with new teak on the boarding step and the interior has been refreshed and is in beautiful condition.
By the end of 2002, Beneteau built and launched 400 Oceanis 473s and by the end of their production, there were more than 600 constructed. These boats have proven to be extremely popular in New Zealand and New Zealand as they tick the box as a good ocean sailboat with good performance characteristics, they have a large galley and fridge freezer space that suits the way we cruise for extended periods in remote places in the southern hemisphere. They are functional and roomy.
For an aft cockpit boat, her on-deck stowage is very good, with several amply proportioned lockers.
She has bulwarks down the side decks big enough to provide a firm foot brace and keep you safe at sea.
The Beneteau 473 is a recreational keelboat built predominantly with fibreglass and wood trim. The hull is solid fibreglass and the deck is balsa-cored. This model is a masthead cutter rigged mast with the inner forestay almost reaching the topmast which stops the rig pumping in the middle when sailing in the ocean swell. She has a keel-stepped mast with two sets of swept-back spreaders.
Lola is located in the Fiji and will return to New Zealand for the Summer.
